I am thankful for to be able to see my family this Thanksgiving holiday season. I am also thankful to be able to have a roof over my head, food to eat, and clothes to wear. I am also thankful that I have a good car to drive with no payments. I have had two interviews in the past two weeks but, I did not get either jobs. I am taking a break from my job search until Monday because of the holiday season. Too much pressure right now for me to handle everything all at once. I stayed in during the Black Friday shopping days, but will start my Christmas shopping next week. I did not want to handle all of the traffic in and out of the stores. I am a little behind on my reading challenge but I will read up until the end of the year. I will see how I will do by the end of the year. I will find time to job search and read my books for my reading challenge this next week. I like reading about the World Literature books that I picked out for this challenge. I like reading about the different cultures of different countries. The other challenges have been interesting to read this year with the different varieties of books to choose from. Until next time, have fun Christmas shopping.

Little Late Than Never
It has been months since I posted, sorry for the delay. I have been busy reading and searching for a job. I have become very behind on my reading challenge. I promise I will do much better now and in the future. It's hard keeping up with a reading challenge when you are unemployed and dealing with life's daily reminder that you need to find a job to support yourself. I have found several free websites that have free books for my reading challenge, but Amazon also has free e-books that I can find. During this time as being unemployed, I have found several job search books that have good information on how to find and apply for a job. One of the books that stood out with a bit of good information is Knock em Dead job search books. I have read most of these books and found them to be informative, but every book that I read has their own opinions on how to write a resume and cover letter. I was on my school University of Phoenix website and went through their career resource guide and found their job search resource to be informative. The career resource has provided me with an excellent resource in writing resumes, cover letters, and how to apply for jobs. I hope I can find a job with all this job search information. I will update later on my job search and reading challenge.

Never to Late
This is my first time to blog. I have never does this before. The beginning of this year I joined two reading challenges on Goodreads.com. I wanted to join a reading challenge to read more books this year and to expand my mind. Also, to stay busy while not working. I am a little late getting started in blogging this year. I have read nine books this year so far. It is a challenge to read all the books that I have committed to reading on my challenges groups. Usually it takes me about two weeks to read even one book, so I am behind on reading each monthly challenge for each month. I have committed to reading twenty five books this year, and so far I have read nine. My favorite books that I have read so far was Julie Andrews: An intimate biography and Tea with Emma. So we will see if I can meet this challenge this year. I have in the past watch TV, and I watched a lot of TV. So this year I wanted to read more books to expand my mind and these Goodreads reading groups will definitely keep me busy. Until next time, Happy Reading.
